This Chevrolet dealership was originally operated by Bruce Wilbur and was known as Wilbur Chevrolet. When Mr. Wilbur passed away, Dwight Green took over in 1958 and renamed the dealership at that time. He had been working as sales manager there since 1954. This was back in the glory days when a small town like Bronson could support a car dealer.
The building was a decent-sized Quonset Hut design with a nice brick facade on the front. By the 1960's the dealership was closed and a gas station was added to the front of the building, apparently sacrificing a portion of the Quonset Hut. You can see from the 1969 bird's eye view the old hut sitting behind the gas station. That remains the case today and that portion of the structure houses a Subway shop and convenience store as of 2023.
