I used to go here as a kid with my mom. Pretty nice as I recall but I just wanted hamburgers and fries back then. I think the hotel portion closed long before the restaurant. This place goes back to 1836 with a rich history that I don't have the space to go into here. There are many references to it online as well as an entire hardcover book.
