Nau's goes back to the heyday of dining in Detroit, probably the early 1950's or before. One article indicated there had been union sit-down strikes in 1959 which caused a loss of business. Mr. Nau's friends came out by the hundreds and dropped cash into a punch bowl to help them out. This place had live musicians to provide dinner music. The architecture of the building was striking and fortunately it still stands as of 2023, mostly intact. It appears to be in use as a medical building. I am not sure how long this place operated under the Nau's Sno-White name.
