This old motel goes back to the 1950's. The address was changed over the years but ultimately we end up at 1336 N Main with the Spotted Cow Restaurant. That is the building the old Steeplechase used. Sort of an odd configuration for a motel but the 1982 photo confirms it. The Spotted Cow is still operating as of 2023 and the reviews are good.
